Home Safe
After two days on the road, fighting a cold and trying to keep my fever ridden, congested head clear through meetings and call coaching sessions, I walked in the back door of our little house on Columbus Street. Home, where Wendy anxiously waited to greet me with healing kisses and where Taylor and Madison paused from their activities to give daddy sweet smiles and warm hugs. Among all of life's many moments there are precious few that compare to the simple joy of coming home.
Which, is one reason I love baseball. You've got to appreciate a game in which the ultimate goal and great reward is to come safely home.
