Chapter-a-Day Luke 19

Everyone who saw the incident was indignant and grumped, "What business does he have getting cozy with this crook?" Luke 19:7 (TM)

It's easy to think back to Jesus life and fill our minds with the praise and awe of his followers. In doing so, we can have an out-of-balance perspective. Jesus had as many critics as he had followers - perhaps more. When you proclaim the Message, when you speak Truth, when you stand for what is right - you will have critics and detractors. Jesus told us to expect it, and we should. To me, the sad thing is that much of the criticism and indignance comes from those within the church - just as Jesus most vocal and dangerous critics were leaders in the temple.
